Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5/13/2026

These Terms govern your use of ScamShield AI ("the Service"), operated by Sharon Leilani Sloane, trading as ScamShield AI ("we", "us"). Contact: ssloane700@gmail.com. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

ScamShield AI analyzes messages, emails, screenshots, voice recordings and links to flag potential scams. Outputs are AI-generated and may be inaccurate; they are educational and never a substitute for professional advice.

2. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service unlawfully, attempt to commit fraud or spam, infringe intellectual property, probe or interfere with security, scrape, deploy malware, or use the Service to facilitate scams. You must have authority to bind your organization, or be of legal age if using personally.

3. AI outputs and content

You are responsible for the prompts and content you submit and how you use outputs. You must have the right to submit any content you upload. AI outputs may be inaccurate and are not professional financial, legal, medical or psychological advice. We may filter, refuse or remove content and suspend accounts for abuse, repeated infringement, or violations of these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, branding and documentation. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to provide the Service.

5. Account

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

6. Service level

We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Billing, taxes, cancellations and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. On termination you may export or delete your data within a reasonable window before deletion.

9. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for purpose). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid in the prior 12 months. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, except where excluded by law (fraud, death, personal injury).

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify us for claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sharon Leilani Sloane is established. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
